Welcome Friends, Brothers & Sisters

 Evelis is a citizen of heaven, a resident of earth and of origin of Puerto Rico.  By the grace of God, she is a member of the Assemblies of God Church “Primera Asamblea De Dios De Raleigh".  Evelis Peña was born on August 6, 1961 in New York City.  God has blessed Evelis many ways, she is known as the singer with a sentimental voice.  On April of 2000 she came in third place as the singer of the millennium by the ministry “Church of Prophecy” by the Obispo Rev. Adriano Acosta, with the song “La Prueba” which she sings duet with her mother Ana Peña who is also a gospel singer.  In 1997 after her father Gregory Peña passed away to be with the Lord, and after fighting with lots of stumbling blocks that told her it was impossible to record, the Lord gave her the privilege to birth her first album titled “Pienso En Ti Señor”.  Once again proving to Evelis that all things are possible providing it’s done in the name of Jesus.  This record is mostly praise and worship music and is played on Christian radio stations such as Radio Vision Cristiana, 1330 on your AM dial.  95.1 F.M. Radio Mission Evangelistica plays her music as well, just to mention a few.  Her music is also played on other radio stations including radio stations in Dominican Republic such as Tribunal Evangelistica and in Puerto Rico such as Radio Triunfo.

Her second album “Te Exaltare” which was released in April of 1998 then followed this album.  “Te Exaltare” reaches out to all kinds of people that are in need of hope in their lives.  Her music includes ballads, hip-hops, merenques and salsa.  It’s the type of music that captures the attention of the audience so that she could then minister to them.  The name of the ministry that the Lord loaned Evelis is called “Proclaiming Jesus Is Lord” ministries.  

 Evelis’ mission on this earth is to do just that PROCLAIM THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND BESIDES HIM THERE IS NO OTHER! 

Evelis’ purpose is to first and foremost exalt and glorify the name of the Lord and then to bless the church by using the Lords words to encourage His people.  Being surrounded by so much negativity she decided to step out on faith and believe in God and prove to the church that the “devil is a liar”.  She has had the honor of ministering in places such as Dominican Republic, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico and many, many places in the Metropolitan area of New York.  She tells the Lord that “she’s available” to go wherever He opens doors for her.  She believes in the POWER of God, she’s seen many miracles performed by the Lord.  People have testified that through the song titled “Levantate” which is in her first production, the Lord has delivered them from committing suicide.  Praise the Lord!!!  She has been blessed with two sons named Luis and Angel and a beautiful granddaughter named Nalynah Evelis.  She is married to a wonderful man named David Vargas, who is of a great blessing in her ministry and has given her a beautiful bonus daughter named Christine whom she loves as her own.  In 2005 her most recent production was birthed titled "Vencere" which mean I will Win/Conquer.  Evelis moved to North Carolina shortly after this production was born.  This cd has 11 selections out of which three are in English.
